About the Artist

Born and brought up in New Zealand, Ann came to England and built a successful leisure database company in London's Covent Garden which she sold in the year 2000 to pursue her long-standing passion for glass.

"Since being hit like a thunderbolt when I first stumbled on Steven Newell blowing a huge bowl in the Glasshouse in Covent Garden way back in the 70s I had followed glass in exhibitions and workshop visits around the world from Sweden to Damascus, San Francisco to Murano and Nelson, New Zealand.

Finally I succumbed to the inevitable and embarked on a course of study at the International Glass Centre."

After graduating with a Diploma in Glass Design from the world renowned International Glass Centre in Brierley Hill, Ann has been awarded a two year internship working in the hot glass studio at the Red House Glass Cone, Stourbridge.
